Bean Hollow State Beach is located on the coast west of San Jose near Pescadero, California. The beach is a worthwhile stop when traveling down California State Route 1. The park offers fishing, picnicking, beachcombing, and a self-guided nature trail. Visitors can also explore tide pools that contain anemones, crab, sea urchins and other marine wildlife.
Popular activities at the beach include fishing, picnicking, beachcombing, and walking on the self-guided nature trail. Because of cold water, rip currents and heavy surf, swimming is very dangerous.

Please refrain from removing shells, driftwood, and other natural beach features. Fireworks are prohibited. Dogs are permitted and must be controlled with a leash of no more than six feet at all times.
